Debbie McGowan and Rose at the Rothko Chapel in Houston today. The chapel walls are adorned by massive Mark Rothko paintings and lit by indirect natural light. It is a place of sanctuary and peace - a good place to give thanks for Rose's much improved health.
Something has kicked in and the pace of Rose's healing has accelerated - I have finally begun to believe that we are on our way here, after many twists and turns and disappointments. We are enormously grateful - to our doctor, our friends, colleagues and neighbors, to the extraordinary medical science that is making this possible.

Nice to see Rose out at that beautiful place! When she mentoned it to me last week, it seemed that it would take a long time for her to get there. So glad Rose & Debbie are having a good week! And I really love that hat on Rose!

Ellie - you would be astonished at the difference in her health in a week. I'm still having trouble adjusting. She's getting better faster than either of us can believe. The miracle of not throwing up constantly...
ReplyDeleteway to go Rosie- enjoy the Texas sights and sunshine ...you will be home soon.
