Rose was up and ready this morning. No blood work today - this is a new and important sign that she is making progress and requires less monitoring. Her post hospital life is taking shape.
Rose got to Skype last night with Rachael, Noel and the grandkids - always a morale booster.
She went to bed without compazine (anti-nausea med) but took one around midnight and slept through the night. Don't want too speak to soon, but we're gaining some confidence that we might have a handle on the constant illness. My experience is that, more than anything, nausea is the most debilitating part of this treatment. It disrupts appetite, nourishment, sleep and psychological well being. It just beats people up. Rose's progress in this regard is second only to the elimination of active disease and the stem cells successfully functioning.
Halloween: we're dressing up as three adults living in a strange city under strange circumstances. Should be fun. Like our costumes?
Hey, hey - so happy to hear of the positive progress. I think your Halloween costumes sound great - beats the heck out of surgical masks and hospital gowns - nothing funny there.
ReplyDeleteLove and prayers to you both. ~Nadine
Glad to hear Rose is making progress! Bravo! But I say at least one of you had better dress up with a stethoscope! Happy Halloween!
